Principal’s message:
As South Slope Elementary’s Principal, I look forward to getting to know everyone in our school community. It is my pleasure to work with a dedicated team of teachers, education assistants, and support staff to help make a positive impact for every learner in our care. I am committed to engaging with students in a positive way and working with “parents as partners” in educating their children.
In addition to rigorous academic programming, we offer students a variety of extra-curricular and service opportunities and develop students’ social-emotional learning. We strive to create the conditions for all learners, to be actively engaged in purposeful learning in a community of belonging and inclusion.
Parents are a vital part of the school community, and we invite you to take an active role in your child’s education. You may book an appointment with your child’s teacher in person (before or after school) by email or calling the school office.
Please talk to your child’s teacher about classroom volunteering and consider participating in our Parent Advisory Council (PAC). All parents are members of PAC and are encouraged to attend meetings and volunteer to help with school events. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to serving the South Slope school community.
